DHT blocker shampoo

DHT is a hormone created in your body. It is created by an enzyme that converts testosterone into a by-product. Its excess level can cause many health problems. It is also responsible for baldness and hair loss. It causes the hair follicles to shrink. It also causes hair loss.

Does DHT blocker shampoo work?

Many studies have been conducted to test the ingredients and brands that claim to block DHT. And studies show that ketoconazole reduces inflammation that causes hair loss. One study shows that 2% ketoconazole effectively reduced DHT production.

Finasteride and minoxidil are drugs that have proven to be very effective against DHT. Many studies support their results. They are the best option to reduce hair fall and promote hair growth. Other ingredients like pumpkin seeds, biotin, vitamins B-3 and E, etc. are not as effective but they also block DHT to some extent.

How to choose a DHT blocker shampoo?

Controlling DHT levels is very important for aging men and women. It may cause male pattern and female pattern baldness. Studies show that the DHT blocker shampoo is effective and people suffering from hair loss should definitely use it. Some things to remember are:

No parabens- It is a synthetic compound that mimics estrogen hormone and can cause a hormonal imbalance in your body. They are harmful ingredients and can cause dryness of the scalp. They can result in even more hair loss.

No SLS- Sulfates are harmful chemicals that deteriorate the quality of one’s hair and skin. They do not affect DHT levels but they rid the hair of keratin protein. This makes your hair prone to breakage and is the main cause of scalp irritation.

Ketoconazole- According to studies, this is the most effective ingredient to reduce hair loss and promote hair growth. It is advised to use 2% ketoconazole for the best results. Or you can talk to your dermatologist about the level.

How to use DHT blocker shampoo?

You can use the DHT blocker shampoo like you use other normal shampoos. But you can make it more effective by keeping in mind these tips:

The shampoo has less contact with the scalp so leave the shampoo for a few minutes before washing it off.

Use it more frequently unless there is a warning about it on the bottle. If there is no warning then use it frequently to see better results.

Massage minoxidil in your scalp twice a day after using the shampoo. It will further slow down the hair fall by increasing blood flow.
